of our new business from direct referrals, ie friends, relatives, neighbours, we feel that by adopting this approach puts people at ease, we will not call on you and offer you all kinds of solutions that will not work, we look at every lawn on an individual basis, as wth our experience each lawn is very differnt to the next one, we will not bombard your lawn with the same type of fertilisers year on and year out, this can do more harm to your lawns than good, so we have to be very careful when choosing the right fertiliser for your lawn.

TREATMENT 1 SpringTreatment

The first application of the year is very important, we use a mini granular fertiliser, the NPK content of the fertiliser will depend on your lawns condition and how it has coped with the long winter, this will also depend on the ph balance of your soil, very wet and frosty winters can have a disasterous effect on lawns, during this visit we also apply a selective weedkiller to get rid of those horrible weeds, the type of weedkiller we use is a systemic weedkiller, it works on the plants hormones making the weed out grow itself, which in turn kills the weed, job done.

TREATMENT 2 Early Summer.

The second application involves a micro granular feed with up to a 3 month phase release pattern, in other words the granule slowly releases its nutrients over a 10 to 12 week period, keeping your lawns lovely and green for a longer period.The prill size of the feed is the same size which helps with an even release pattern, at this time we yet again apply a further weedkill to keep on top of the weeds.

TREATMENT 3 Late Summer.

This feed is a very important feed, containing important trace elements, a decision on what type of feed is applied depends on a whole lot of factors, it is during this feed application that we check your lawn out for possible insect infestation or disease, it is during this period the crane fly ( daddy longlegs) is looking to deposit it eggs. There is more on this subject in problems page. The weedkiller is applied again, however we will only use it where neccessary.

TREATMENT 4 Autumn Winter.

Its time to put your lawn to bed for the winter, this is also a very important application, our feeds contain iron, seaweed, and other trace elements, which will help combat moss and ensure that your lawn stays in tip top condition throughout the coming winter months.
